Gold status benefits are subject to availability at participating hotels and resorts within the Hilton Portfolio. Once you request enrollment in Hilton Honors Gold status, American Express will share your enrolment information with Hilton. If you already have Hilton Honors Gold Status, you can maintain the benefit in the future because you don’t need to meet any stay requirements. Fine Hotels & Resorts
- Valid only for new Fine Hotels & Resorts bookings made through Platinum Travel Service, Business Platinum Travel Service, Centurion Travel Service, or American Express Travel Online (Only available in selected markets).
- Online bookings currently only available to Basic Platinum Cardmembers.
- Payment must be made in full with an American Express Card in the Platinum Cardmember's or Centurion® Member’s name.
- Available for Platinum Charge Cardmembers and Centurion® Members only, and excludes Platinum Credit Cardmembers who are not also Platinum Charge Cardmembers. Cardmember must travel on itinerary booked to be eligible for benefits described.
- Noon check-in and room upgrade are based on availability and are provided at check-in.
- Breakfast amenity varies by property, but will be, at a minimum, a continental breakfast.
- Complimentary In-Room Wi-Fi is provided, with the exception of explora Patagonia where In-Room Wi-Fi is not available. In this instance, complimentary Wi-Fi will be provided in a common space on property. In the case where a Property includes cost of Wi-Fi in a mandatory resort fee, the Cardmember will receive a daily credit from the Property in the standard amount that the Property charges for Wi-Fi. The credit will be issued on the Cardmembers final statement upon check-out.
- Benefit restrictions vary by Fine Hotels & Resorts property and cannot be redeemed for cash, and may not be combined with other offers unless indicated.
- Advance reservations are recommended for services such as spa, dining or golf in order to take advantage of the Fine Hotels & Resorts special amenity during your stay.
- Benefits are only applied at checkout and expire at checkout.
- Limit one benefit package per room, per stay.
- Three room limit per Cardmember, per stay; back-to-back stays within a 24-hour period at the same property considered one stay.

The Hotel Collection
- Valid for new bookings with participating providers of at least two consecutive nights made through Platinum Travel Service, Business Platinum Travel Service or Centurion Travel Service, American Express Travel office or American Express Travel Online (online bookings currently only available to Basic Cardmembers).
- Available only for the following American Express Card Members: Consumer and Business Gold Card Members, Consumer and Business Platinum Card ® Members and Consumer and Business Centurion® Members (“Eligible Card Members”).
- The term “Eligible Card Members” does not include Gold and Platinum Credit Card Members.
- Payment must be made in full with an American Express Card in the Eligible Card Member’s name. Eligible Card Member must travel on itinerary booked.
- Eligible Card Member will receive hotel credit upon checkout equal to $1 for each eligible dollar spent, up to $100, which amount will be credited upon check-out based on qualifying charges made by the Eligible Card Member excluding charges for taxes, gratuities, fees and cost of room.
- Additional exclusions based on specific hotel restrictions may also apply (including without limitation purchases within the hotel that are unaffiliated and/or owned by third parties) – see applicable hotel front desk for details.
- Credit cannot be carried over to another stay, is not redeemable for cash and expires at check-out.
- Credit is non-exchangeable and non-refundable and is applied in USD or equivalent in local currency based on exchange rate on day of arrival. May not be combined with other offers or programs unless indicated. Limit one credit per room, per stay.
- Room upgrade is based on availability and eligibility at check-in.
- Three-room limit per Eligible Card Member per stay; back-to-back stays within a 24-hour period at the same property are considered one stay.

The Vacation Collection
- Room upgrade is to the next room category and at the discretion of the hotel. Subject to availability at check-in.
- Subject to availability at check-in / check-out.
- Minimum of two nights’ stay applies to most of our hotels.
- Benefits vary per property and by validity date. Complimentary nights’ offers are based on minimum consecutive stay criteria. Offers are non-transferable, non-combinable, and valid for new bookings only. Partner Terms and Conditions apply.
- Maximum number of children allowed in the room varies per hotel – please contact us.
- Children’s complimentary meal plan will be on the same board basis as the parents’ meal plan purchased in advance.
- Interconnecting or adjoining room discount is based on two children (up to 18 years) sharing accommodation. Special offers and added values only apply to parents’ room, not to children in their own room.
- Restrictions may apply to complimentary children’s club access including upper age limits, and varies by property.

Airport lounge access € 800
Platinum Card members and the holder of the extra Platinum Card are entitled to unlimited free access to 1,300 lounges worldwide, including those of Priority Pass™. The value is based on the ‘Prestige’ membership of Priority Pass™, worth € 399 per person, for both the main card holder and the holder of the extra Platinum Card. This is the value as published on February 21, 2020 at prioritypass.com/nl. This calculation does not include the value of the access Card members receive to the American Express, Plaza Premium and Delta Lounges. The value is rounded to the nearest 10.
Hotel benefits € 650
The value of € 650 consists of the average value of the benefits of the Fine Hotels & Resorts programme and The Hotel Collection, set out for you below.
- Average value of € 500 by booking a 2-night stay at Fine Hotels & Resorts. The actual value to be received may vary, depending on the hotel/resort, room price, upgrade availability and use of privileges.
- In addition, a conservative value is attributed to a booking of 2 consecutive nights at a The Hotel Collection hotel with the benefits of $100 hotel credit (€ 85) and a room upgrade (average value of selected The Hotel Collection accommodations).
Insurance policies € 500
A comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance policy ensures that you, your immediate family and holders of an extra card can travel with peace of mind when the trip is booked with the American Express card. As the cover is linked to the use of the card, it is not a yearlong policy, but by paying for each trip with the card, it can best be compared to this.The value is based on yearlong travel and cancellation insurance with world cover (stays less than 2 months) for a family with 2 children, where the applicant is 50 years old and the children 20, found via several websites (including Independer, ANWB, Nationale Nederlanden) on February 21, 2020. The product with the most suitable cover has been chosen. The value is rounded to the nearest 100. Car hire insurance and purchase insurance are not included in this calculation.
Fast security and border clearance at Schiphol with Privium € 330
The main cardholder is entitled to a Privium Plus Membership with a value of € 235. The holder of the extra Platinum Card is entitled to a Privium Partner Membership with a value of € 95. These are the prices published on 3 March 2020 on privium.nl.
Points € 210
The Membership Rewards points are based on the average expenditure of a Platinum Card member per year, multiplied by the average earning ratio (including expenditure via the American Express Travel website, for example). The value per point is based on the value when points are redeemed via the ‘pay with points’ option in the American Express App. The value is rounded to the nearest 10.
